A classic with a soft, festive accent: strong coffee, Irish whiskey and vanilla cream come together with orange and dark chocolate. A warm dessert for those who love refined simplicity.

Ingredients
- 600 mlcoffee — strong, freshly brewed
- 160 mlIrish whiskey
- 40 gdark brown caster sugar
- 160 mldouble cream
- 1 tspvanilla extract
- 1orange
- 20 gdark chocolate
Method
- 1
Brew 600 ml of strong coffee and keep it very hot.
- 2
Whip the double cream with the vanilla extract until soft peaks form. The cream should thicken, but still be able to slowly drip from a spoon.
- 3
Wash the orange and finely grate only the orange part of the peel. You will need about 1 tsp of zest.
- 4
Briefly warm four heatproof glasses with hot water. Pour the water away afterwards.
- 5
Divide the dark brown caster sugar among the glasses: 10 g per glass.
- 6
Pour 40 ml of Irish whiskey into each glass.
- 7
Add approximately 150 ml of hot coffee per glass and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- 8
Hold a spoon just above the coffee and carefully pour about 40 ml of vanilla cream per glass over the back of the spoon. This way, the cream largely remains as a separate layer on top of the coffee.
- 9
Sprinkle a very small amount of orange zest over the cream.
- 10
Finally, shave a few fine curls of dark chocolate over each glass.
